Godstow Road Car Parking Update
As outlined in the latest Journal, Freemen of Oxford will be exempt from parking charges at Godstow Road car park.
Since the journal went to print, it has been confirmed that parking charges will commence from the 1st October 2024.
If you wish to take advantage of this you should e-mail carparks@oxford.gov.uk under the suggested title “Wolvercote Godstow Road Car Park - Freemen of Oxford Exemption” and inform them of your name, car registration, and the fact you are a Freeman of Oxford. They will then need to verify that you are a Freeman before adding your registration to the list of exemptions. Please wait for acknowledgement before parking!
Common Hall
14 Oct 2024
We're please to announce that we will be holding Common Hall on Monday 14th October 2024, from 6pm at Oxford Town Hall (arrival from 5:30 pm).
All Freemen of Oxford are encouraged to join and take part. Journal #159 will contain additional details, and this site also has a copy of the Rules for Common Hall .
If you are planning on attending, please contact Bev Humberstone (details included inside the cover of the journal) so that we can have an idea of numbers.
Any nominations for election to the general committee should be presented to the Hon. Secretary (Bev Humberstone) at least 3 days before the start of Common Hall. We recommend doing this as soon as possible.
